The questions are organised under common topics and essay types. IELTS often use the similar topics for their essays but change the wording of the essay question.

  1. Not analysing the precise meaning and language in the question.
  2. Not addressing the specific key issue or issues directly.
  3. Not having a clear opinion when asked.
  4. Not planning both main ideas and supporting points. 
  5. Including irrelevant or unfocused detail, going off topic.
  6. Not having body paragraphs of equal length.
  7. Not writing enough or writing too much
